Ps. Max Wiltshire

In 1982 Ps Max Wiltshire sold his house in Ayr, Queensland and moved to Halls Creek Western Australia, in response to a direct call of God upon his life. He had never been to Halls Creek before and wasn't even sure where it was, but as he sat in his home church one night, God spoke clearly and said, "Go and plant a church amongst the Aboriginal people of the Kimberly's". Not long after that call, he sold everything and moved to Halls Creek, where he planted and Pastored his first church.

Halls Creek Church

In the first year of that church, God moved in a miraculous way, Numerous healings took place and people started to come to church and give their lives to the Lord. The church grew to 350 people, which is over 50% of the population of the area. Halls Creek had a reputation, for being one of the worst violent and unsafe towns in W.A. Within a few months they started to reduce the Police force to only a few, and the Hotels were complaining about the lack of trade. People's lives and the town were impacted by the power of God.

Aboriginal Families

In 1992 A.A.O. (Australian Aboriginal Outreach) was established by Ps Max with a vision to plant churches in Aboriginal towns and communities through Australia. In 2002 there are now 35 churches that come under the banner of A.A.O. they are in every state in the nation. At present God is opening doors into communities around Australia that have never been open to the Pentecostal movement before.
In Alice Springs alone, there are 22 town communities, that are crying out for leadership training and workers to help to start churches .

Please Pray

Because of the remote locations of a lot of the churches, it is essential to visit the churches to support them and their Pastors. Over the past 10 years Ps Max has worn out 3 Toyota Land cruisers that have each done around 500,000kms. Because the churches are so remote and cover such a large area, he is desperately in need of an aircraft to travel these distances.

At present he spends 80% of his time in travel and 20% in ministry. With an aircraft these percentages will be reversed. Instead of visiting the churches every 2 years, he will be able to have input into them on a regular basis. Also it will enable him to take a small ministry team to share the Gospel in communities that have no churches established, please pray that God would provide a suitable aircraft so that he will be able to minister more effectively to the Aboriginal people of Australia.

May God richly bless you as you get hold of this God given vision
