Dear fellow RSCV members,
I thank you for my election as President of the RSCV. Thank you to the past President, Michael Plaiche, for his leadership throughout the past two years. Thank you to the members of the past committee for their contribution to the advancement and promotion of the club’s cultural heritage. Thank you to the departing members: Regis, Dola and Roxanne for their invaluable contribution to the cause of the club.
Welcome to the new committee members: Sylvio, Angeline and myself.
Thank you to all members who attended the AGM and those who were unable to attend.
I thank you for your continuous support in the advancement and promotion of the cub’s cultural heritage.
As new president of the club, I am calling for a change in the orientation of the club. The club has to formulate and implement new policies to face the opportunities and challenges of to-morrow.
On the 27th of July 2008 I presented a brief plan at our AGM. At our first committee meeting I outlined “The Vision for a New Start” in details to the committee. I am glad to announce that the committee is supportive of the proposed plan. It is a plan about change, people and reconciliation and strategic planning.
I intend to present the detailed plan to you at our next information session scheduled for Sunday 17th August 2008 at the Southern Community, Rupert Drive, Mulgrave.
Once again I thank all the members for the trust you have placed in me to preside over the club during such a challenging time. The challenge is for all of us to work together as a united front to facilitate the smooth running of our club. I also call on all members to show compassion, love and strength during the reconciliation process.
May God bless you all.
I look forward to see you soon.
Daniel Plaiche
