1. RED BLUFF MORGAN STUD refers to the stud owned by JENNIFER M BIRD 

2.Horses registered in the name of Jennifer M Bird are under the jurisdiction of Jennifer M Bird on and for Red Bluff Morgan Stud.

3. To nominate a foal, either filly or colt, or request to breed a RED BLUFF  MORGAN STUD owned mare to a particular stallion either owned by the stud or another Stud, the following agreement shall secure the first option right, at a fixed price, for the resulting foal.

HOW IT WORKS

1. A deposit on signing of $2,000 secures you the option of purchase on the foal of your preferred sex, from the nominated mare. If the resulting foal is the nominated sex, a further $2,000 is to be paid when the foal attains three months of age. If not, the Deposit of $2,000 will be refunded within five working days, and the contract is cancelled.  The balance of $................. is payable at weaning/delivery at …………………..months of age, prior to the foal leaving the stud.

2. The purchaser is required to insure the foal for death, injury and loss of use at the age of three months for the full purchase price balance in the name of the vendor.

3. If the foal dies before attaining the age of three months the original $2,000 will be refunded in full within five working days, and the contract will be cancelled.

4. If the foal born is not of the sex nominated the deposit will be refunded in full or if desired, transferred to a foal of the desired sex from another mare if the foal is not under a FIXED PRICE OPTION CONTRACT.

 

1.Mare/s nominated to be bred to an outside stallion require to be insured from the time the mare leaves RED BLUFF STUD for $.................... in the owner's name.

2. All fees for service, transporting, agistment and veterinary care are to be met by the option holder, up front, to the Stud providing service. An ultra sound of no less than 45 days positive must be gained prior to the mare returning to RED BLUFF STUD. 3. The resulting foal of either sex must be purchased at the fixed/agreed price as per contract.

4. In the event the mare does not conceive within three heat cycles, or fails to produce a live foal, or produces a deformed foal, the deposit of $2,000 will be forfeited to the mare owner.

 A live foal guarantee contract may not be entered into with the stud providing service.

All breeding certificates must be completed by the stud and mare owner and A.M.H.A. REGISTRATION PAPER WORK [Stallion Report Form and Registration form] must be signed by the owner/s of the stallion providing service, and a copy given to the mare owner.

All veterinary attention, requirements, and costs for the mare and foal to be met by the option holder.

 The mare is to be returned to RED BLUFF MORGAN STUD post 45 day pregnancy

 determination and remain under the supervision of RED BLUFF MORGAN STUD

until the foal is weaned/delivered, unless otherwise arranged.

The mare is to be hand served only. All intrusive work on the mare must be conducted by a qualified and experienced equine specialist veterinarian, nominated and approved of by RED BLUFF MORGAN STUD.

The mare is to be ultra sounded at 16 days post service to determine twinning/abnormalities, and the mare owner informed of action intended.

Breeding on foal heat to be done in consultation with the nominated veterinary surgeon.  

 

1. The following contract is to be read and signed with adoption of all relevant notes made in FIXED PURCHASE PRICE OPTION ON FOAL FROM MARE BRED attachment.
