Command Line Switch |
Description |
about |
Show the about box. |
clear |
Run the clear routine. |
launch (noexit) |
Run Traceless in startup mode - this switch is parsed when your computer boots. Including the optional noexit flag will suppress the exit option in the tray menu if the tray is selected to load. |
settings |
Show the settings dialog. If applicable, a password will be requested. |
tray (noexit) |
Load the Traceless system tray icon, regardless of whether it is set to load during startup. Including the optional noexit flag will suppress the exit option. |
update (noprompts) |
Load the update dialog, and check for an available update from the Traceless website. Including the optional noprompts flag ensures updates are downloaded automatically if available, without first asking for confirmation from the user. |

Command line switches are not case sensitive.
This is now possible because Traceless 1.16 is contained in one executable, instead of separated into many as was previously the case. An example of how to create a shortcut that clears your internet folders using the clear switch described above is available in the help file.
Administrators wishing to utilize the new noexit feature on their systems should modify the startup registry entry switch to read launch noexit instead of launch. This will ensure that the Exit option on the system tray is not available.
Administrators wishing to deploy future automatic updates to Traceless installations on their systems should parse the update noprompts switch instead of only update.
More comprehensive help and examples will be published soon. In the mean time any questions regarding this new feature should be directed to support.
