Dear Sue I am sorry that it has been some time since we updated you on the kittens' progress. They are both well and full of the joys of spring, or rather, the summer. Both kittens have been neutered and have recovered well from their ordeal. Honey is growing and is a darling wanting to play all the time - one can almost see her learning and taking things in all the time. She always runs to greet us when we return from work and won't stop meowing until the right amount of personal attention has been given. In the middle of the night she often finds her favourite toy and brings it onto the bed expecting us to play with her - obviously, she still has something to learn!! Currently Honey weighs 2.7 kgs and I hope this compares well with her siblings. Simba seeks attention when he wants it and is affectionate in his own way. He is not very vocal, managing instead a short squeak of a meow and climbs up onto me and nestles on my chest/shoulder when I am sitting and purrs loudly. He has taken to sleeping on my pillow (getting there before me) and we manage OK. Fortunately, he no longer licks my head or forehead, but he gets close to it. When feeling very content and relaxed, his mind flips to his mum I think - he goes to his happy time - Simba is a solid kitten and possibly a little overweight, which we will have to watch but this is difficult with 4 cats in the house. He now weighs 4.1 kgs I hope all is well with you. Rest assured that the Honey and Simba are healthy and such a joy for us all. Angel (our aging and deaf Russian Blue) is the de facto mum to them both and Honey and Simba are often seen sleeping with her. Both Simba and Honey are friendly towards strangers, Simba more so and immediately friendly. Honey heeds a minute or too but her inquisitive nature takes over and she is in there finding out what the plumber is up to under the sink and so on!!! Take care.
