Dear Sue, Well I am here at work after spending the first night with the two kittens. An hour after the flight touched down the cargo facility (AAT) were processing the paperwork. It took about 40 minutes for the paperwork, Handlers, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Dept for their health inspection (micro-chip test) then finally Customs. Then it was a taxi then ferry to home. Flight touchdown was at 1800 hrs and we were back at home at 2040. It was a long and eventful day for the kitties and they seem to have come through the ordeal with flying colours. I do hope you were able to extend our thanks to 'Dogtainers' and all others who have managed to assist in getting the kittens to us - their efforts are greatly appreciated.
The kittens had eaten and drank water, and were really into the toys, particularly Burma, the Burmese. The kittens had so much energy to exhaust. In the exuberance of play , Burma carrying a stick with feathers is his mouth, was soon running around like a banshee and a couple of times running into a mirror! The kitties still need to get used to what a mirror does and does not allow a cat to do! And so to bed. Lights out and still the playing continued in the room with me! Then they crashed out next to me then awoke later to play. This occurred a number of times throughout the night and needless to say I got little sleep. Burma slept under my arm and often threw himself against me to his sleeping position. Honey, Siamese, slept next to him, on my pillow... well ... where-ever she wanted to really, forever purring - a favourite place was curling up into my neck. Oft times she took to licking my face, hair and nibbling my ears. Neither were too noisy although Honey was the more talkative.
Thank you so much to bringing Burma and Honey into this world and allowing them to become part of our world - they are such gems and will be cherished and loved with all we can give. They are in good hands. Take care, Regards Graham, Hong Kong, 19/3/08
Dear Sue, The Easter holidays have been wonderful and much time has been spent with cats and kittens. Burma is to be re-named around the house as "Simba" as he reminds us of the lion cub in the "Lion King" when laying on his back, looking a lot like the lion king and of course in a house of three females he will be! He is doing well and is beginning to get talkative already. Take care, Regards, Graham and Rita, Hong Kong. 24/3/08
