WELCOME TO OUR APARTMENT

Our apartment - which we rent out when we are not there ourselves - is at the southern end of Palm Cove village, right on the beachfront and minutes from major resort hotels and from cafes, restaurants and grocery stores.
 

FULLY-FEATURED COMFORT

The apartment is air-conditioned throughout and has ceiling fans also.
 

Both bedrooms - one double, one twin - and the living room open on to the long, furnished balcony that overlooks the beach.
 

Two bathrooms give flexibility and privacy.
 
If you like to cook, our kitchen has everything from a potato peeler to a microwave. Or, if you prefer to eat out, see below for a great range of options.
 
The separate, internal laundry has a washing machine, dryer, large tub, steam iron and ironing board.
 
We provide all towels and bed linen, plus television, DVD and CD.
 
A cot or high chair can be delivered for use during your stay (at your cost).
 
SO MUCH TO DO

You can swim in Paringa’s filtered seawater pool, set in a beautiful tropical garden, or walk straight across the road to the beach - local lifesavers patrol the beach and there is also a stinger net in front of the surf club in the summer months.

 
Or - if you like to eat out – at Palm Cove there is a great range of places to eat - from excellent restaurants to gas barbecues on the beach, from breakfast at ‘Cocky's on the Cove’ to dinner at the popular surf club garden bistro.
 
Arrange your tours to Kuranda, Port Douglas, Mossman Gorge, the Daintree and the Great Barrier Reef from one of several operators with offices in Palm Cove - reef cruise operators will pick you up from the wharf, just a few minutes walk from the apartment.
 
Go fishing from the jetty with the locals and get advice and bait from the camping ground operator; take a horse trail ride, hire a bicycle, play golf or just relax on the beach.
 
GETTING AROUND
The local bus service runs all day to Cairns and the large shopping centres at Smithfield, stopping at Cairns Tropical Zoo and other local attractions. A taxi from Cairns Airport (20 mins.) is about AUD$35. For car rental see one of the operators right at Palm Cove.
