Fundraising

We organise many fundraising programs throughout the year. Proceeds go towards new toys, books and equipment or to help fund excursions or incursions. Have a look at the kids playing with the new equipment at the end of year breakup

Some of our latest fundraising programs include:

Cadbury chocolate drive	Parents are asked to sell a box of 40 chocolates for $1 each. $20 profit per box goes to the creche. We raise ~$1300 annually.
Toy Catalogue	20% of the value of the order can be used as credit towards the purchase of new equipment. The toys were good quality and quite cheap. We will certainly be running this again.
Toy Library	Take a box of toys or puzzles home, or maybe a bike, for the weekend for only $5. Great for parties!
Top Tales Book Club	There is a good selection of paperbacks and a few hardbacks for purchase by parents. They are quite cheaper than the retail prices. New book selections are received around four times a year and 20% of the value of the books bought is credited towards new books for the creche. We have donated around 20 new books so far in the first half of 2004.
Trivia Night	Our Annual trivia night was held at the Clayton Bowls Club in 2003 and was a fabulous night. We raised over $1500!
Tony's Pies	Beautiful pies delivered fresh. Savoury or sweet. Single or family size. Great value.

Fundraising Payments

You can pay for fundraising activities either by:
1. putting the money or cheque (payable to MCFC Fundraising) in an envelope and dropping it in the fees box
or
2. Direct deposit over the internet. The details are BSB# 063 408 and account# 1032 9984. Please ensure you add your name to the deposit details

Social Activities

2006

• March 3rd - Trivia night at the Monash Staff club. We had a great time and raised over $680

2005

• 11 March - Welcome to new parents BBQ also a celebration that the building renovations are near completion
• 19 May - Visit by Monash Vice-Chancellor, Prof Richard Larkins and Parents morning tea.
• 19 Dec - End of year Xmas party
  • visit by Santa and we had some songs by the children

 

2004

• Mid Feb - The Jumping castle returns / Family BBQ

  • Thursday 12th or 19th after 5pm
• Morning tea for Parents
• May - Movie excursion to see 'The Cat in the Hat'
  • 51 people attended with free popcorn
• June - visit by the Fire Brigade
• June - Rizing Stars creative dance company
  • 10 week Wednesday classes begin
• June - Wild Action Animal visits
  • interactive show with baby crocodiles, frogs, snakes, lizards etc.
• June - visit by the Police
• June 24th - Possum Magic show
  • live performance at the Alexander Theatre, Monash Uni
• July - visit by Wild Action
  • hands-on with live snakes and crocodiles
• Nov - Children's Art Show
  • We had a good turnout, sold quite a few paintings and unveiled a 'guess the number of lollies in the jar' competition
• Dec - Christmas/ end of year party
  • visit by Santa and also a magician and Carla (dancing)

• 2003
• -see the visitors talking about responsible pet ownership to the over 3 year olds
• September 16th (Kinder & 3-4's) and 19th (0-2 and 2-3's)- Morning Tea for parents

  • This was very successful. We had 14 parents on Tuesday and 16 parents on Friday.
• October 17th- Jumping castle for the children (set up in the garden of building 74)

  • If your child is not in on the day the jumping castle is booked, you are welcome to bring in your child as long as you are present to supervise them.
• October 9th at 7PM- Annual General Meeting

  • Invited speaker -Anne Kennedy on 'Readiness and Transition to School'
• October Saturday 11th at 9:30AM- Movie excursion to see 'Finding Nemo'

  • 61 people attended
  • Children were treated to lolly bags and choc-top icecream
• October - Children's Art Exhibition
  • Well attended - Over 60 framed pictures were sold. The pictures looked fantastic hanging together in the corridor.
• November Saturday 22nd - Trivia Night & Skills Auction

  • Held at the Clayton Bowls club, the night was very successful and raised over $1500 from an attendance of 45 people
  • Many items were kindly donated for the event from parents and local businesses
• December Friday 19th - End of year breakup & Concert

  • Father Christmas was in attendance and gave out books to the children which were supplied by parents.
