                The Clan Livingstone/Clan MacLea group is starting an Australian and New Zealand Society with branches in both Countries.

  Some History behind this Commencement:

  Extract from emails from Grant South (on 15^th  February 2006) who started this off:

1.   The Young Bachuil has indicated that he would like to see the clan grow into established branch societies.

2.   Our new society is with the direct patronage of our Chief - as Society President.

Further in communication with the Young Bachuil it was thought at this initial stage that an ANZAC grouping may be of most benefit for mutual support, and branching to naturally take place as folk gather. I know there are many Australian families with New Zealand connections- including my own.

         In Australia and New Zealand there has been some sporadic interest shown and we would like to tie this together in a Society as indicated above.

  It is all about the Livingston(e)/MacLea name and its history and historical events. We will try to restrict membership to direct family and other interested parties who have a direct interest and the committee approves of.

 Grant has now moved on and has been replaced by Kevin Livingston appointed on 15^th February 2007-05-17. We thank Grant for all his efforts.

 So far, Kaye Saunders has been appointed Secretary/Treasurer for New Zealand, Bryan Livingston Clan Officer in North Island of New Zealand, and Kevin Livingston (myself) as Treasurer for Australia.
