What is Rolfing®?
Rolfing® Structural Integration is a holistic system of soft tissue manipulation and movement education that organises the whole body in gravity. It is named after Dr Ida P Rolf, a biochemist by training, who began an enquiry into human well-being more than fifty years ago.
Rolfing is based on Dr Rolf’s insight that the body is more at ease and functions most effectively when its structure is balanced in gravity. She observed that, over time, the field of gravity actually accentuates the body’s imbalances and diminishes its flexibility.

Who can benefit from Rolfing?
People from all walks of life and all ages - people enduring chronic pain and stress, athletes, dancers, musicians, business people - can experience relief from pain and stress, as well as improved performance in their professional and everyday life, from Rolfing.
In fact, Dr. Rolf believed all bodies have some degree of disorder and compensation in their structure; and as a result felt that everyone would benefit from Rolfing.
Rolfing can help with issues such as back and neck pain, scoliosis, TMJ (jaw) and other joint problems, repetitive strain injuries, coordination and movement restrictions, postural problems, and many others.
