NextOne MVA Coming Up

The artist and husband are in the car in the foreground, the red car hit them.

This work in the ‘crash frame’ is a picture of a car accident about to happen. A car hurtling at you on your side of the double lines, you see the occupants - they know a hit is imminent. I am the driver lower right.
The on-coming car swerved into a road-post and bounced back onto us. We went backwards and stopped. Everyone was all in one piece! The other driver came rushing over saying, "We were worried about that tyre before we left!" My new car was a write-off. When we arrived at the country hospital the staff were running around saying, "Here’s the M.V.A. (motor vehicle accident). All we got were some beautiful blue and green bruises (seat belts) and I couldn’t rush around at my usual speed for nearly two months.
