#114 just released
Welcome to Sonic Screwdriver Online.
Yes, that's right. Yet another online site allied with the club magazine of the Doctor Who Club of Victoria. Make no mistake: this is NOT Sonic Screwdriver Online Edition. That site (complete with new look and new content) is still here.
This site is the home of Sonic Screwdriver Supplemental. The intention is to give a forum for materials which will help people to communicate with other Victorian Doctor Who fans; to discuss various creative matters; and to get access to creative resources. There will also, of course, be content here: fiction, articles, letters and artwork, both reprinted and original.

Sonic Screwdriver Online

Still here? So what's here?
Well, for starters, you can find here entire electronic copies of the magazine. Sure, they're a few months old, because we want to give our members a head start with them. Issues you find here will usually be the better part of a year old. However, some of these are now not even available as back copies, so this is the only place you'll find them. (If you find them anywhere else, please let us know, because we certainly didn't put them there!) These online issues of Sonic Screwdriver are free for download and for you to read, but it goes without saying that you can't reproduce or make profit from them in any way without infringing copyright. So there.
Apart from that, you can.content yourself with the entire Daniel Payne archives - megastories, most of which were originally published in Sonic Screwdriver, and some of which are printed for the first time here. Daniel was the winner of the 1996 Double Gamma award, and is a major player in the DWCV elite. (As well as having more than a little to do with the design of this site, and being the editor for Sonic Screwdriver since issue 109.)
Here too we will have the online Message Centre for Sonic Screwdriver - where you can see your letters published for all to see, and hopefully have them included in the magazine too. We can't promise a response for every mail, but we'll do our best to deal with everything.
Also under construction are the Swap Shop and the New Merchandise Adventures. Future projects include a collaborative novel - where you can write one of the chapters! - and a BBC Book workshop. Keep an eye on this site - better still, bookmark it now!

Sonic Screwdriver back issues
If you are interested in obtaining paper copies of any of these issues, we still have copies of most of them. Drop us a line at the club address or by email and we'll let you know what's available.
All of these files are in pdf format: you'll need a copy of Adobe's acrobat reader. It's free, it works from within Netscape, and it's available here.

 UltraSonic 108

UltraSonic 108 - from the June 1998 edition of Sonic Screwdriver. Ultrasonic was the news and regular features section of the magazine edited by Daniel Payne during issues 107 and 108, before taking over the whole job for 109.

Sonic 109

Sonic 109 - published in August 1998. Issue 109 concentrated on the variety of non-BBC Doctor Who and pretend-Doctor Who audio and video material available. It included reviews of Time Rift, most of the stories available from TimeBase Productions in the UK and a major article on BBV.

Sonic 110

Sonic 110 - this issue, published in October 1998, was intended to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Doctor Who. A packed issue, it contained reviews and retrospectives for each Doctor as well as spotlights on the highlights and lowlights of the previous three and a half decades. Well worth a look.
