Guests of Christel and Tony's Chalet have always enjoyed our place as a retreat away from the stress of everyday life and somewhere to enjoy the tranquillity of the Mountain life for a weekend or more. When they leave they dream of the next time they can come and enjoy the tranquillity and sense of peace along with the sheer beauty of their surroundings. They miss the moment of sitting on our balconies, closing their eyes and breathing the clean air, hearing the sounds of the bush. Then, opening them to the sweeping renowned panoramic views beyond imagination. Perched on its hinterland cliff top approximately 600 metres above sea level we offer uninterrupted views of Stradebroke Island, Brisbane, Glass House Mountains on a very clear day, the Towoomba mountain range with Flinders Peak, and the valleys below.

Whether our guests join us for a romantic getaway or for a relaxing and tranquil time they always enjoy their stay in one of our three rooms, each with balcony and which are all individually decorated with Christel's own artwork or pieces we have collected on our travels. Our Master Bedroom with king size bed and adjoining en-suite is the perfect place for a wedding night or a special evening to rekindle those fires. Alternatively, we offer a suite comprising two twin rooms with Queen size beds, a beautiful tiled bathroom and a reading lounge with TV if needed. The rooms are available to rent separately, but should you only require one of the rooms, the other will remain vacant for the length of your stay.

The sounds of exotic birds and the delicious aromas of our generous continental breakfast of fresh tropical fruit, freshly brewed coffee and an array of breads, conserves and a hot selection of eggs and bacon gently awake them. And we are always happy to accommodate if there is a special request. Is there a better way to start the day?

A short drive during their day ahead will take them to many of our hinterland attractions. Driving along quiet country roads, walking through exquisite Rainforests or just browsing through some of the finest arts and antique shops, galleries and garden centres. Some prefer to go further afield to O'Reilly's National Park or venture down to Movie World, Dream World or Wet and Wild all within a 20 minutes drive.

After a day of exploring they return to watch what can only be described as some of the best sunsets of the world. Settling in for the night they enjoy the dining experience in our restaurant where they are treated to a selection of meals from our specially designed menus. Each course containing a symphony of flavours combining Classic European and New World cuisine.
